Australian Eventing
In November, I had the opportunity to work on a really fun little piece - a portrait of the tack used by one of the members of Australia's 2016 Olympic Eventing team.
I matched the tack as well as I could, but the real fun was in the saddle pad. It's a slightly contoured quilted pad with the Australian flag on the side. I stretched myself a little bit and made some teeny tiny flags for the saddle.
The boots were also fun - I got to use the Cova Color leather paints I picked up from Tandy during one of their November sales. I made colored stirrups for the first time ever, too, and while I believe that what I sent to the client is stable and will hold up, I need to refine that technique a little bit.
Enough talking - here's a photo album of the set!
