Since I haven't posted for...ah, a while, I thought I'd do a quick update on the studio in general. I've been busy working at the print shop, going to ball games, enrolling for class, and generally trying to keep my head above water.
The studio itself is messy, as always.
In that mess are no fewer than six projects, possibly more if I've forgotten to count something. Fortunately, three of them are already done and another has been sitting, completed, on my model horse shelves.
Here are some photos of what's done -
From top to bottom:
English and western commissions, finally completed! They've been here since the end of May or thereabouts/ I had to start the western saddle over at least three times due to various issues. The english saddle was also a no-go on the first try, but the second was a winner. The havana english saddle with rider is a donation to the Utterly Horses Hullabaloo event and will have it's own post shortly. The random western bridle was a repair job and will (probably) get a post of it's own, too.
Here's another little project that I don't think I posted...my first Little Bits/Paddock Pal/Pebbles saddle!
It's being modeled by Vtoo, on the custom base my dad made for her. It's not perfect (the saddle or the base!) but I thought they were both a very good start.
There's the studio in a nutshell! I'm working as hard as I can to get stuff done before class starts in late August, but we'll have to see how far I get.
